Committing to a charter reservation or using our Service signifies your acceptance of these Terms. Should you object to any section of these terms, then you are prohibited from using the Service.
2. Service Overview
UniversalInformation offers an array of select yacht charter services, which include:
- Yacht hiring for daily use
- Evening pleasure cruises
- Business-related retreats
- Exclusively private gatherings
- Charters spanning multiple days
Our offerings are dependent on availability and the prevailing weather conditions. We hold the authority to alter or cease services at our discretion without prior notice.
3. Booking and Reservations
3.1 Booking Process
To reserve a charter, the following requirements must be met:
- Attain a minimum age of 18 years
- Submit valid and comprehensive particulars
- Remit the necessary initial payment as indicated in your reservation confirmation
- Consent to the Terms & Conditions
3.2 Confirmation
Confirmation of your reservation is established once payment is received and we issue a written affirmation. We maintain the authority to decline service at our discretion.
3.3 Availability
Charter bookings are contingent on the availability of the vessel and favorable meteorological conditions. We shall endeavor to meet your requested scheduling preferences.
4. Terms of Payment
4.1 Cost Details
Every listed price is expressed in € and encompasses any relevant taxes, except where noted otherwise. Prices may be adjusted without prior notification.
4.2 Schedule for Payments
- Initial Deposit: Required payment at the time of reservation is 50% of the overall cost of the charter
- Remaining Balance: Payment must be made 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the charter
- Other Fees (if applicable): To be paid after the charter service has been provided
4.3 Accepted Methods for Payment
Payments can be made using widely-accepted credit cards, direct bank transactions, and verified cheques. All payment processing is conducted through protected, encryption-based systems.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Customer Cancellations
- If canceled more than 72 hours before departure: A full refund except for processing charges
- Cancellation between 24 to 72 hours before departure results in a 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure will not be refunded
5.2 Weather Cancellations
Should the weather conditions be considered unsafe by our captain, options include:
- Rebooking your trip to another available slot with no extra charge
- A total refund will be issued if it's not feasible to reschedule
5.3 Mechanical Issues
Should there be technical difficulties with the designated boat, we'll aim to substitute it. If substitution isn’t available, clients will receive a full refund.
6. Safety and Conduct
6.1 Safety Requirements
All passengers are required to:
- Adhere to all instructions from the crew
- Use the provided safety gear when necessary
- Inform about any health issues that could impact their well-being
- Stay within the designated areas on the ship
6.2 Prohibited Items
The subsequent items are not allowed on board:
- Glassware
- Illegal drugs
- Weapons or firearms
- Overabundance of beverages beyond personal consumption needs
- Animals (unless they have been previously authorized)
6.3 Conduct
Passengers are expected to behave in a courteous manner. The right is reserved to end a charter prematurely without a refund if the behavior of any passenger jeopardizes safety or interferes with the enjoyment of others.
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 Our Liability
The extent of our liability is constrained to the cost of your booking. We are not held responsible for:
- Injuries sustained by a passenger due to their own lack of care
- The theft or destruction of personal belongings
- Any form of indirect, incidental, or punitive losses
- Service delays resulting from inclement weather or events out of our control
7.2 Insurance Coverage
We have full marine insurance for our ships and their operation. It is the passenger's duty to secure their own travel and personal insurance.
7.3 Assumption of Risk
By choosing to use our charter services, you understand that activities on water have innate risks and you accept the responsibility for ensuring your safety and health.
8. Modifications and Itinerary Changes
Our company maintains the right to alter travel plans, including itineraries, paths, or timetables due to environmental conditions, to ensure safety, or because of service needs. We will strive to arrange similar alternative experiences whenever changes are made.
9. Force Majeure
Our organization shall not be held accountable for interruptions, cancellations, or changes that happen as a result of situations that are outside of our influence, encompassing, but not restricted to:
- Extreme meteorological phenomena
- Catastrophic events
- Official edicts
- Shutdown of ports
- Breakdowns of machinery
10. Privacy and Data Protection
We manage your personal details in line with our Privacy Policy. Your use of our services implies agreement to our data gathering and usage policies as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
